  • IGNOU- Global Opportunities & challenges to the Teachers

    IGNOU regional co-ordinator, Vijayawada enlighten our students about the global opportunities & challenges of the teachers on 20-12-2013. In this connection, the Deputy Regional Director talked about the different courses being offered by the IGNOU to meet the Global challenges for the teachers and to improve their teaching competencies.

    The Secretary and Correspondent presided over the function. The Principal, Staff & students participated in this programme.

  • Re constitution of Mathematics Club.
    The mathematics students of 2013-14 academic year have reconstituted the mathematics club on 01-12-2013.

    The following students are selected as office bearers of Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Club.

    The club proposed to conduct different programmes to inculcate positive attitude towards the teaching & learning of mathematics.

  • Academic Exhibition, 2014
    A two day university level academic exhibition was conducted by Acharya nagarjuna University on 01-01-2014 and 02-01-2014. Our college students participated in it with three main concepts.
    1. Psychological Testing.
    2. Identification of Food Adulteration.
    3. PowerPoint presentation depicting the true History of India.

    Around 30 students participated in the academic exhibition & 3 staff members guided the students. Our college got 2nd prize in Affiliated Colleges Category.

  • Awareness Programme Against Superstitions by Jana Vignana Vedika
    To build scientific attitude and eradicate superstitions among the students, the members of Jana Vignana Vedika organized a collective programme on 22-02-2014.

    V. Brahma Reddy and Chalama Reddy gave extempore lectures on developing the scientific attitude and also the achievements of science to mankind.

    Mohammad Miya performed some tricks to exterminate the superstitions among students.

  • Re constitution of Science Club.
    The science students of 2013-14 academic batch have reconstituted the ScienceClub on 28-02-2014.

    The club proposed to conduct different programmes to inculcate scientific attitude among the student teachers.

  • Women's Day
    The college women faculty & the students observed women's day on march 7th 2014 instead of 8th march, 2014 as it was a holiday.

    The faculty conducted an elocution on "Role of women in the present day society" 20 students participated & expressed their views on the topic. Prizes were also distributed to the winners, The women faculty also expressed their views & encouraged the girl students to have women empowerment.

  • Health Awareness Programme
    A health awareness programme was conducted in association with NTR Memorial Trust, Guntur in our college assembly hall.

    The principal, Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao presided over the function. The doctors from NTR Memorial Trust educated our students regarding health & hygiene malnutrition and good food habits. The doctors also answered many questions posed by our students & clarified their doubts regarding health. The doctors examined the needy students and prescribed medicines accordingly. They also referred some students to consult experts for their ailments.

  • Blood Donation Programme
    Our institution is regularly organizing blood donation camp in the college premises. This year the blood donation camp was conducted on 19-03-2014 in association with N. T. R. Memorial Trust Blood Bank, Guntur.

    The Doctor from NTR Memorial Trust Blood Bank., Guntur, educated our students regarding the importance of blood donation and also the benefits of blood donation. On the blood donation day, around 30 students and staff donated blood to the trust.

    The Secretary and Correspondent and the Principal appreciated the students who donated their blood.

  • ROSA
    RVRR Old Students Association (ROSA) meeting was held on 24-03-2014. This year the members discussed various issues. The members unanimously elected the following members as office bearers.

    3. G. Satyanarayana - Tresurer

    The following members were also included as executive committee members.
    1. K. Venkateswarlu.
    2. M. Kalpana

    Nearly 50 members participated in the meeting, followed with sumptuous lunch. The members rededicated themselves to the progress of the institution by all the means possible to them.

  • Voter Awareness Campaign
    A Voter Awareness Campaign was conducted by our students at Swarna Bharathi Nagar, Guntur on 28-03-2014.

    Our faculty has given guidance to the students related to voter awareness programme. Our students educated the masses of, Swarna Bharathi Nagar, Guntur where most of them are illiterates & labourers. Our students had a good discussion with some of the old people. Our girl students approached the women door to door & given advices related to the casting of their vote male students grouped the men and educated them the importance of voting.

    Our students started form the college as a rally. Slogans were displayed on ply-cards.

  • Voter Awareness Rally
    A voter awareness rally was jointly organized by District Collector( Sri Suresh Kumar) and the colleges of education in Guntur city on 28-03-2014.

    All the staff & students of our college gathered at collectorate compound as directed by district collector. Similarly, all the students of other colleges of Guntur town gathered to form a procession. The rally started at 7.00 AM from collectorate compound and went through Police Parade Ground, Stall School, Hindu college centre, AC College, St. Joseph's High School, Sankar Vilas and ultimately reached the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar statue at Sri Krishna Theosophical Lodge Centre.

    The collector addressed the gathering RJD of school education, D. E. O. and our staff members addressed the gathering and up held the importance of casting the vote as the responsibility of every voter.

  • Educational Field Trip.
    The Staff and students went on an educational field trip to Undavalli Caves, APCOST and Kondapalli fort.

    The Principal advised the staff and students before starting the trip at the college.

    At first, the team visited Undavalli caves. Local guide explained about the monuments, Buddhist study centers, Ananta Padmanabha swamy temple and other things. Our students interviewed two Australian tourists about their stay in India. Later, Students visited the APCOST centre. The staff of the centre explained about the scientific instruments & tools present there.

    After having lunch, the students proceeded to kondapalli fort and learnt about the fort history through the remains. The team returned to college around 6.30 PM happily.

  • Eenadu - Yuva Bharath(Role of youth in Politics)
    The local prominent newspaper Eenadu organized "Yuva Bharath" an awareness discussion on the "Role of youth in politics" on 15-04-2014 in our college.

    Our Secretary and Correspondent, Sri G. Mangaiah presided over the meeting. Prof. Y. Rama Subbaiah, Rector, ANU, called upon as chief guest. He advised the students that the politics is not the job of elderly but youth should participate into the electioneering and shoulder the responsibility of the nation. Dr. Sudhakar Babu, Principal, JC college of law advised the students that it is the duty of every voter to franchise their vote to the right candidate. The Principal Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao and the staff members spoke on the importance of voting.

    The Eenadu group collected the opinions and views of students and published them in their newspaper on the next day.

  • Seemandhra Kavi Sammelanam:
    A congress of telugu language poets belongs to the bifurcated Andhra Pradesh at RVRR college of education, on 22/06/2014. The members of the congress discussed about the problems relating to literature in the view of Andhra Pradesh state bifurcation as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They made many resolutions and send them to the APstate government around 50 eminent poets belongs to 13 districts of remained AP participated. The event was jointly organized by Dr. R. Ranga Rao sahitya peetam and Guntur district Rachayitalu.

  • A Seminar on Spiritual Development:
    A seminar on spiritual development was conducted by Brahmapita Kumari Ishwariya Viswa Vidyalaya at RVRR College of Education., on 06/08/2014. The theme of the seminar is known as “Seven Billion Acts on Goodness”. The main speaker a civil engineer from America Mr. Singhal advocated peace, compassion and love. The mankind on the earth can attain infinite happiness only through good deeds. Principal, Prof. Digumarti Bhaskara Rao & Staff participated in this Programme.

  • 68th Independence Day Celebrations:
    68th Independence day celebrations were conducted in the college campus on 15-08-2014. Sri Gadde Mangaiah, Secretary and correspondent of RVRRCE, addressed the students and delivered an inspiring message on nation’s strength and patriotism.

  • Academic Exhibition, 2014-2015
    A three day university level academic exhibition was conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University from 21-08-2014 to 23-08-2014. Our college students participated in it, with two main concepts.

    I. Psychological Testing.
    II. Power point presentation depicting the true history of India.

    Around 30 students participated in the exhibition & 3 staff members guided them.

  • Teacher’s Day Celebrations:
    Teacher’s day celebrations were conducted on 5th September 2014, in the fond memory of our former Indian President Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. Our Secretary and Correspondent, Sri G. Mangaiah addressed the students and staff to shoulder the responsibility the students and staff to shoulder the responsibility in the building of the nation. Students felicitated the principal & the staff members.

  • Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalaniketan conducted a Painting Competition:
    Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah Kalaniketan conducted a Painting Competition in association with the college on 06-09-2014. Around 330 students from 33 schools participated in this competition. Competition was conducted under two categories as seniors & juniors. Cash prizes, mementos were presented to winners. Consolation cash prizes, merit certificates & participant certificates were given to the students, according to their performance in their competition.

  • Science Club: 7-11-2014

    Science club was reconstituted on 7-11-2014 for the students of 2014-2015 batch. The following are elected as the Science Club office bearers.

  • National Education day: 11-11-2014
    National Education day was celebrated on 11-11-2014 in the college assembly hall. Dr. Busurpalli Venkateswarlus, Rtd. Telugu lecturer was the chief guest. He addressed the gathering about the education system, character building of a teacher and the changes to be brought in the society.

  • National Energy Conservation week Celebrations: 15th to 20th December 2014
    a. The celebrations were inaugurated by our Secretary and Correspondent, Sri G. Mangaiah and Principal , Prof. D. Bhaskara Rao

    b. Power point Presentations by students were prepared and shown for the co-students for two days.

    c. Essay-writing and drawing competitions were conducted to the students.

    d. An awareness programme on energy conservation was organised to the students. The chief-guest for the day was Sri. K. Santosh Rao, Senior Engineer, ASPDCL and Sri.G. Harinath Babu, NEDCAP, District project Director.

    e. On the last day, prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions held and an oath was taken for preserving the natural resources to the future generations.

  • Swatchh Bharath (World Toilets Day 19-11-2014)
    On 19-11-2014, observed as Swatchh Bharath day in the college. All the teaching staff & students participated in this programme with enriched enthusiasm. The college building, library, laboratories, class-rooms. Office, toilets were cleaned. All the garbage and dust was collected & discarded from the premises. All the students took an oath to participate in swatch bharath programme periodically & to maintain the campus clean and green. On this occasion Secretary and Correspondent Sri G. Mangaiah advised the students to have personal toilets and also advised the students to keep them clean and dry. Prof. & Principal, Dr.D.Bhaskara Rao, teaching staff and students attended the meeting.

  • Reconstitution of Mathematics Club: 16-12-2014
    On 16-12-2014, mathematical club was reconstituted in the name of great Indian mathematician “ARYABHATTA”. The students elected the president, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive committee of the club. Dr. D. Bhaskara Rao, Principal, Dr. M. Ravi Kumar, Smt. Ch. Jalaja Kumari and students participated in the meeting.

  • National Mathematics Day: 22-12-2014
    National Mathematics was celebrated on 22-12-2014 by members of the mathematics club. On this occasion students gave speeches on contributions of different mathematicians in the development of mathematics and importance of mathematics.
