107th Birthday Celebrations of Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah (04 – 01 – 2024)
107th Birth anniversary of Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah garu, the founder of our college was celebrated on 4th January 2024. On this occasion, the president of NES Dr Rayapati Srinivas, garlanded the statue of Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah, Sri Rayapati Mohan Sai Krishna, Treasurer, J K C College, Ex Mayor, G M C, Sri R V K Prasad, Special Invitee of our college executive committee, Dr Kondabolu Krishna Prasad, Secretary & Correspondent of Dr K L P Public School and along with staff and students of our college paid homage to the statue of Sri Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah garuby offering flowers. Afterwards the B.Ed. students performed different cultural programmes. Prof M Ravikumar Principal of our college recollected the contributions of Vidwan Sri Gogineni Kanakaiah garu to the fields of education and arts. The programme ended with distribution of sweets to all.
Sankranthi sambaralu(10 – 01 – 2024)
Sankranthi, the harvest festival of A.P. is celebrated on 10th January 2024 on the college campus. Program was started with Bhogi mantalu by our college Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah and principal Prof M Ravi Kumar. On this occasion, we conducted ‘Rangoli’ competition previous day. After that, all the staff and students gathered in Assembly Hall and students performed some cultural activities like folk dance, skit, singing, tradition dress walk etc., prizes were distributed to the winners of Rangoli competition by our Secretary & correspondent. Traditional sweet and hot was distributed to all at the end of the program.
Sri Tripuraneni Ramaswamy Chowdary (Kaviraju) gari birth anniversary celebrations(15 – 01 – 2024)
On 15th January 2024, The members of kaviraju sahithi Samithi celebrated the birth anniversary of Sri Kaviraju on the college campus. The members of KSS and followers of kaviraju paid homage to the statue of kaviraju by offering garland and flowers. Sri Alokam Peddabbaiy, Secretary, KSS, Sri T Tandava Krishna, Sri Ch Lakshmi Narayan, Sri Ravela Sambasiva Rao, other members of KSS, our college Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah, college principal Prof M Ravikumar recollected the works and social services done by Kaviraju to the society. The popular Praja gayakudu ‘V Ramana’ sang songs from the writings of kaviraju.
National Science Day (28 – 02 – 2024)
National Science Day is observed on 28th February2024 to pay tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr C V Raman for his discovery of “Raman Effect” in 1928. On this occasion the staff and students offered flowers to the photo of Sir C V Raman and recollected his contributions to the field of science. As a part of this programme, the students planted snaples on the campus. College Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah and Principal Prof M Ravi kumar also participated in plantation programme. At the end of the programme sweets were distributed.
World Water Day (22 – 03 – 2024)
World water day is an annual united nations observance day that is held on the 22nd March to raise awareness on the importance of water for the planet. Our college celebrated world water day to create awareness about conservation and preservation of water resources. On this occasion we conducted an essay writing competition on theme of this year i.e., “water for peace”. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition.
Sports Meet (19th& 20th April 2024)
A two-day sports meet was conducted on 19th& 20th April 2024 for 2022 - 24 & 2023 – 25 B.Ed. batch students. On 19th April we conducted outdoor games like shotput, Tennikoit, Throwball, Shuttle, Tug of war and on 20th April indoor games like chess, carroms, Chinese checker, Musical chairs. Prizes were distributed to the winners and runners along with certificates.
Get Together (24 – 04 – 2024)
On 24th April, A get together programme was celebrated. In this programme 2022 – 24 B.Ed. second year students welcomed the first year students of 2023 – 25 students and first year students of 2023 – 25 bid fare well to the second year students of 2022 – 24 B.Ed. batch. On this occasion both Juniors and seniors expressed their views and shared their experiences, by giving gifts to one another. Both juniors and seniors conducted and participated in different cultural programmes, endowment prizes were given to the merit students of 2021 – 23 B.Ed. batch in university theory examinations by the chief guest of the programme Dr Rayapati Srinivas, President of NES. College secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah, College treasurer Sri V Kuppuswamy, Principal Prof M Ravi kumar and staff blessed the students. Lunch was arranged by the college to all the members.
International Yoga Day (21 – 06 – 2024)
Due to Hon’ble P.M. Sri Narendra Modi’s relentless efforts, June 21st declared as the international yoga day by the United Nations General Assembly. The theme of this year is “yoga for self and society”. As a part of yoga day observation, we invited the Physical Director of our sister institution Dr K L P Public School, Sri B. Daniel to the college. He addressed the students about the importance of yoga for self and society. Students performed some asanas demonstrated by Daniel Garu.
‘Acupressure Single Point Therapy’ training programme (23 – 06 – 2024)
Surya Yoga Foundation, Guntur a volunteer organization, requested us to give our seminar hall as a venue to conduct their training programme of “Acupressure community service, we permitted to conduct the training programme in our college on free of cost. This training programme started on 23rd June 2024. Dr Rayapati Srinivas, President, Nagarjuna Education Society, acted as chief guest of the programme. Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah, Principal Prof M Ravi kumar, staff, Jojaiah master, yoga teachers, Physical Education teachers and other members who are interested in this therapy training participated in this programme.
Visit to St. Joseph’s College of Education for Women, Guntur (11 – 07 – 2024)
Our college has linkage with St. Joseph’s College of Education for women, Guntur which is one of the best college of education in Guntur. We have Memorandum of Understanding with this institution from 2018 and renewed it for every five years. As a part of this programme, Staff and students visited the college to share knowledge and resources like library, laboratories etc.,
78th Independence Day Celebrations (15-08-2024)
Our institution celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024. Our college secretary and correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah hoisted the flag and addressed the gathering. Principal, Staff and students participated in this programme. Sweets were distributed.
National Teacher’s Day (05-09-2024)
National Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 05-09-2024 on the occasion of Sri Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan birthday, our secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah garu garlanded the portrait of Sri Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan. Our college principal, staff and students offered flowers. Our Secretary & Correspondent, principal and staff addressed the students. Some students also expressed their views about importance of teachers in the society. Late Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao Birthday Celebrations (15 – 10 – 2023)
We celebrated the birth anniversary of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao on 15-10-2024 in our college. On this occasion the president of N E S Ex M L C Dr. Rayapati Srinivas garlanded the statue of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao and Smt Sitharavamma. Our college Secretary and Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah, principal Prof. M Ravi Kumar and the staff members offered flowers to the statue of Sri Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao and Smt Sitharavamma. On this occasion all the members remembered his services done to the society.
National Education Day (11-11-2024)
National Education day was celebrated on 11th November 2024 in the campus. Our College Secretary & Correspondent was the chief guest and he addressed the gathering about education system, character building of a teacher and the changes to be brought in the society. Our Principal Prof. M Ravi Kumar explained the contributions of Dr Maulana Abul Kalam Azad to the field of education some of the students gave their speeches on important of education.
Fresher’s Day (22-11-2024)
The Second year students of 2023 – 25 B.Ed. batches celebrated fresher’s day on 22-11-2024 to welcome the newly joined students of 2024 – 26 B.Ed. batches. On this occasion seniors shared their views and experiences with juniors. Juniors introduced themselves to seniors. Seniors welcomed the juniors with small gifts. On this occasion our Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah Garu addressed the students. Our Principal Prof M Ravi Kumar Garu introduced the staff to students. He explained the rules and regulations of the college. Both 1st and 2nd Year students conducted cultural programmes. Lunch was followed.
National Constitution Day (26.11.2024)
On 26th November, 2024 Indian Constitution Day was celebrated in the campus. On this occasion, Our Principal Prof.M.Ravi Kumar Garu delivered a speech on Indian Constitution and its importance to the teacher trainers. Dr.K.Venkateswarlu, Lecturer in Pedagogy of Social Sciences explained how the constitution was formed and its parts of constitution. All the staff along with students took the constitutional Oath.
76th World Human Rights Day Celebrations (10 – 12 – 2024)
76th World Human Rights Day was celebrated on 10th December, 2024. Which serves as a global remainder of the fundamental rights and freedoms that belongs to the every individual, irrespective of race, gender, nationality or background? The theme for H R D 2024 is “Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now”. On this occasion college Secretary & Correspondent, Principal and staff members delivered speeches on Human Rights. Students participated actively.
National Mathematics Day (22.12.2024)
As a part of mathematics club activities the B.Ed. students celebrated National Mathematics Day on 21-12-2024. In the commemoration of Indian mathematician Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan. The programme started with garlanding the portrait of Srinivasa Ramanujan. On this occasion Sri B Subba Rao Principal SRVS and MSR Junior college, Thullur invited as a guest. Our Secretary & Correspondent Sri Gadde Mangaiah garu delivered a speech about the importance of mathematics. The guest gave lecture on role of mathematics in daily life. The Principal Prof. M Ravi Kumar delivered about the contributions of Sri Ramanujan to the field of mathematics. All the staff and students participated actively.
Induction Programme for 2024 – 2026 B.Ed. Students on (30-12-2024)
Student induction programme was conducted to the 2024-26 B.Ed. students, to make the students aware of the B.Ed course. The purpose of this programme is to support new students in setting in and becoming comfortable in their new environment. In this programme our college secretary & correspondent addressed the gathering about the role and responsibilities of teacher in the present society. Principal Prof. M. Ravi Kumar explained the rules, regulations, cultural practices of the college. B.Ed. Course syllabus books were distributed to all the students. Refreshments were served to the students and staff.
